Nation, Nationality and Subject of Nation Concern

A. Answer the following question in meaningful sentences.

1. What is a nation?

= A country with people, government and sovereignty living in a certain geographical area is called a nation.

2. What is nationality?
= Positive feeling, love, adoption and devotion towards one's motherland is nationalism. In the same way, strong faith and respect towards the soil culture and geographical integrity of the country is also nationalism.

3. Mention the measures to promote national integrity.
= Measures to promote national integrity are as follows:
i. Citizens of all regions and classes should be included in the mainstream of the state.
ii. Equal distribution of resources and means should be done.
iii. A sense of patriotism should be developed in all citizens.
iv. Along with fulfilling the just demands of the people, they should be given rights.
v. Every caste, language, culture, religion, gender and community should be promoted in an equitable manner.

4. What causes border disputes? What are the solutions to the border dispute problem?
→ When the boundary mapping between any country is not clear, there is no mutual understanding between the countries or the process of one country encroaching on the territory of another country is called a border dispute. Ways to resolve border disputes are as follows:
i. Both countries should take diplomatic initiatives to solve the problem.
ii. Security forces should be mobilized for border security and pressure should be created from different areas to solve the problem.
iii. Nationality and nationalism

5. Why is nationality considered important?
= All people have equal contribution in nation building process. Therefore, nationalism makes citizens aware of the nation's history, events and public affairs, to spread the feeling of patriotism, to provide service to the country in times of need, and to think positively about the country. A feeling of nationalism is also needed to make people aware of their country and culture, so nationalism is considered important.
