* Heat

= Heat is the form of energy that produces Sensation of warmth. It is the sum of total kinetic energy present in a molecular of a body. The SI unit of heat is joule and CGS unit is calorie The instruction that is use to measure heat is called colorimeter. We know that 1cal = 4.2J.

* Temperature

= The degree of hotness and cold ness of a body is called temperature it's SI Unit is Kelvin. It determines the average kinetic energy of molecules of a body. It is also measured in `c,` F it is measured.

* Thermal equilibrium

= When two Substance of different temperature are kept in a thermal contact then heat energy flows from body of higher temperature to the body at lower temperature until both the body have some temperature are the body are sold to be in thermal equilibrium.

* Intermolecular distance

= The distance between the molecule of the substance is known as intermolecular distance.

* Intermolecular force of attraction

= The force of attraction between the molecules is called intermolecular force of attraction.

* Lower flowed point

= The freezing or matting point at atmospheric pressure is called lower fixed point.

* Upper flood point 

= The boiling point at 1 atmospheric pressure is called upper fixed point.

Note: pressure is directly proportional to the boiling point of the substance.            


*Zeroth Law of Thermodyamics


= The importance of zeroth law of thermodynamics states that if two bodies are each in thermal equilibrium with the third body, they are also in equilibrium with each other. This says in essence that the three bodies are all the same temperature.

Consider to system A and B separated from each other by an insulating wall but each being In contact of a third system C through conducting wall which permits heat to pass as Shown in 911. Then the system. A will be in thermal equilibrium with system C and similar by system B will be in thermal equilibrium with.. System C. Now if the insulting wall, there is co change in temperature in A and B which indicate that system A is also in thermal equilibrium with system B. This experiment show that "If two system are in thermal equilibrium with a third system then they must be in thermal equilibrium in with each other. This staternent is called Zeroth law of thermodynamics.                  


Heat always flow from hotter body to cooker body when they comes in contact to each other. This flows ceases if the bodies attain some temperature Pt that condition, the bodies are said to be in thermal equilibrium.

Thus, two bodies are said to be in the rand equilibrium if they have some temperature. The there is no flow of beat between them.


*Zeroth Law of thermodynamics
